The Authorities are currently putting in place various Measures aimed at halting the spread of the Virus most significantly the Lockdown Measure. However, most of these measures will yield no fruition unless properly tailored to suit the Family as the primary entity of the Community. The Family thus, is shouldered with responsibility as the frontline player in achieving the Lockdown campaign from the grass root level, right before any other Setup within the Community.

1) Family returnee: For a Family Home that has just successfully settled in a Lockdown with zero possibility of having contacted any virus, a New arriving Family Member is something to keep under watch. This is more so if the Returnee has arrived from any of the Regions mostly affected by the spread of the Virus. Notice of any symptoms from such People must be handled with due care and reported immediately to the relevant Authorities.
2) Spaces and Structures: The Family Members basically share common dwelling Place on the same spaces enclosed within same structures. These spaces and structures are in constant common contact with all Family Members in the course of day to day house hold chores to sustain life and can therefore serve as easy means of spreading the Virus.
Thus, all Spaces and Structure such as Doors, Windows, Walls etc, within a Family building must be made secure through sanitizing, fumigation and other means.
3) Foods, Beverages and Water: These are important spreading factors for any disease just as they serve as the most basic of all Human needs. The Virus, despite being unable to survive the acidic condition in Human vowels may however be transmitted to other parts of the body via Food and Water intake. Thus, care must be taken to minimize chances of the virus settling on Foods and being transmitted to surrounding soft tissues before actual ingestion.
4) Beddings, Clothing and Laundry:
Family as a Social setting is comprised of Members connected through compassion and deep emotional care. Members hardly care to separate on issues concerning these activities.
Care must be taken to segregate items belonging to any Member showing signs and symptoms, especially pertain to Laundry.
5) Conveniences, Disposals and Sanitary:
These are facilities via which Human Beings get rid of unwanted bodily organic wastes and discharges, hence serve as nursing beds for bacterial, virus and germs. Fluids and solid matters discharged from Patient’s body can easily be transferred to another Family Member if not properly handled.
Toilets, Bathes and Basins should be sanitized before and after each use. Also, Baby nappies, Pads and Tissues should be administered and removed / disposed under hygienic conditions.
6) Pets and Backyard Animals / Birds:
Man by nature, tends to exhibit natural craving for Animals and Birds either as Pets or for economic reasons. Domesticated Animals / Birds are subjects of Human interaction to the extent that they sometimes share the same roof or even sleep on a shared bed hence can typically be factors for virus transmission.
Care most therefore be taken when coming into contacts with animals / birds during feedings, medication, clearings and compassionate hugging. Frequent use of adequate sanitizer is highly advisable.
7) Utensils and Serving gadgets:
The use of recyclable Utensils and Food Serving gadgets amongst Family Members is another factor that can lead to Covid-19 virus transmission easily. Advisably, the use of disposables for serving meals is preferred where possible.
All recyclables must be sanitized before and after each use to avoid virus transmission. Dinner Tables and Chairs must also be mopped as frequently as possible with sanitizers and chlorinated water as the case may be.
8) Silence attitude / Hiding the problem:
Family members tend to suppress any News about suspected symptoms manifesting in one of the Members for reasons of Compassion or to avoid what they feel is embarrassing or to avoid the blame. This attitude can trigger an uncontrollable situation of dissemination of the virus due to absence of interventions of experts, who can otherwise easily handle the situation in good time.
Family Members have responsibility to the Community to report any suspected cases to the relevant Authorities by quickly calling Hotlines made available in every Locality.
9) Patient and Body handling:
Covid-19 Patients are marked “handle with care” this time around however, not necessarily because they are fragile but to curtail the spread of the Virus to the barest possible minimum.
Patients and Bodies of deceased infected Persons are by regulations strictly for handling by authorized Professionals / Experts. It is however inevitable for Members to come into portability situations with infected relative especially at the preliminary stage. Any such handling should however be done in accordance with guidelines availed by the Centre for Disease Control.
10) Body makeup, Attachments and Face masks:
Sharing these Items amongst Family Members also poses danger as another avenue through which The Covid-19 Virus can easily be transmitted.
Family Member must be strongly advised therefore, to as per as practicable, avoid sharing them.
Where necessary however, all Spectacles, Sunglasses, Jewelries and other shared attachments must be regularly sanitized.
Conclusion:
It is noteworthy and imperative that Family Members be SENSITIZED on this Infectious Disease.
Lack of properly understood SENSITIZATION from the beginning can lead to gross failure in administering the above go to my blogmeasures rendering the whole Lockdown effort thereby ineffective.
